TQT Hosts Joint Workshop With NIST
Event held December 11-14th, 2017
TQT was pleased to host a joint workshop with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) from December 11-14th, 2017. Joining us from NIST were Benjamin Heacock, Michael Huber, and Shannon Hoogerheide. Participants from TQT included Professors Dmitry Pushin, David Cory and Guoxing Miao; Dusan Sarenac, Joachim Nsofini, George Nichols and Ivar Taminiau; and visiting professor Krill Zhernenkov of Institut Laue-Langevin, France.
The workshop focused on various topics related to neutron interferometry, including orbital angular momentum and spin orbit projects, reflectometry, and gratings. The workshop also included tours of QNC, RAC 2 including the diamond turning machine and cryostat facilities.
The group discussions built on several TQT projects underway and helped shape future collaborative work. We thank our guests for their contributions and look forward to advancing our exciting work together.
