QuSoft Condensed Matter Researchers Visit TQT

Researchers Erik van Heumen and Mark Golden of the Institute of Physics and Quantum Matter Amsterdam/ QuSoft visited TQT at the University of Waterloo between December 6 – 11, 2018. Staff and members of the organizations explored topics of quantum materials and novel techniques as highlighted through presentations by Heuman on Topological Phases in Novel Materials, and Golden with his research on ARPES of Quantum Materials. Their visit encompassed numerous productive sessions with researchers and staff. The group identified several potential areas of research collaboration and opportunities for the exchange of technical staff between facilities as a result of these meetings. We look forward to our continued engagement with QuSoft in the new year.
