IQC Faculty Elected as American Physical Society Fellowship for Science and Quantum Innovation

Two faculty members at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) have received prestigious recognition by their peers for the outstanding contributions they have made to physics. Dr. Dmitry Pushin and Dr. Graeme Smith are newly elected as 2023 Fellows of the American Physical Society.
Pushin, also a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Waterloo, is being recognized for innovations in neutron scattering and interferometry informed by quantum information science and the physics of structured waves.
“I am proud that our work was recognized in the scientific community, and I am always grateful for support from NIST and Transformative Quantum Technologies (TQT),” says Pushin.
