TQT hosts Lunch & Learn: Quantum Technologies: Risks and Opportunities

On Friday, September 13, TQT hosted a Lunch & Learn in Quantum Explorations regarding the potential risks and opportunities of emerging quantum technologies. The featured speaker was Dr. Araceli Venegas-Gomez, the CEO & Founder at QURECA and the Institutional Relations Director with the Quantum World Association. Dr. Venegas-Gomez talked about the importance of analyzing risks of emerging quantum technologies, giving examples of previous technologies that could have benefitted from this analysis. She also highlighted the need for a global ethical board to lay down guidelines for quantum technologies. The presentation was followed by a Q&A and informal networking.
