TQT hosts Lunch & Learn: From PhD to Start-up Employee

On Thursday, June 27th, TQT hosted a Lunch & Learn about the real-world perspectives of PhD graduates and their experiences as start-up employees.
The panel was chaired by Nevine Ebeid, PhD and security consultant at Escrypt. The panelists included Razieh Annabestani, Former Post-Doctoral Fellow and Former Quantum Application Scientist at Xanadu, Scott Genin, PhD and Head of Materials Discovery at OTI Lumionics, Kristine Boone, PhD candidate and Researcher at Quantum Benchmark.
Each panelist shared their perspectives on being a start-up employee coming from a PhD graduate background, and how start-ups differ from larger companies. Presentations were followed by a Q&A and informal networking. TQT thanks all the presenters for sharing their insights with our quantum community.
