Ideation Forum generates new connections across quantum and environment
Event held on Monday, September 18, 2023
On September 18, TQT held the Quantum For Environment – Ideation Forum. The event saw over 60 attendees with nearly 100 registering interest, including undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, and staff. Many attendees were new to quantum and were eager to learn how quantum technologies might be used to impact the environment.
To aid in team building, attendees were prompted to add their ideas to a shared poll and connect with others interested in similar topics and/or ideas. With many environmental needs being discussed in areas such as agriculture and climate change, participants were encouraged to further develop their ideas and connect with Q4Environment mentors.
The last segment of the event showcased attendees’ enthusiasm for the design challenge. Several individuals presented their Q4Environment idea while sharing its significance. Some of these ideas featured the convergence of ideas that formed earlier in the forum, where we saw teams forming and/or team members expanding in number.
Thank you to all our speakers, presenters, and attendees. If you’re interested in the Q4Environment Design Challenge, please register your interest.
